Lady Gaga cancels tour after hip Injury

Lady Gaga has canceled the rest of her Born This Way Ball tour.

This cuts short her mega two-year, six-continent tour before she was able to complete her last 21 shows.

The pop singer, who will have to undergo surgery for a hip injury, has complained of severe pain.

The canceled concerts include appearances in New York's Madison Square Garden and Brooklyn's Barclays Center, the New York Times reported.

Earlier this week, Gaga canceled shows in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, Ontario, after announcing she was suffering from synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints, the Times wrote.

Concert promoters told The Chicago Tribune the lost revenue will have a "major economic impact on the concert business" and estimate it could cost Gaga and others $35 million.
