Kim Jong Un threatens ‘all-out war’ over South Korean-US military exercise

Kim Jong Un threatened "all-out war" against South Korea over a military exercise the country is testing with the United States military.
South Korea's forces started a two-week defensive exercise last week with the goal of checking its defenses against North Korea. Pyongyang, however, said they believe the drill is for a possible nuclear attack.
"If the enemies fire even a single shell on our inviolable territory… the whole army should turn out as one and lead the battle to an all-out counter-offensive," Kim Jong Un said, according to Agence France Presse.
Over 30,000 US troops are participating in the annual joint drill, which is known as the Ulchi Freedom Guardian, the Times-Live reported.
Washington and Seoul last partnered in military exercises in June, RT News reported, and North Korea was up in arms over those efforts as well, calling them a "reckless provocation."
North and South Korea technically remain in a state of war, since the war of 1950-1953 ended with a cease fire that is still in effect as no peace treaty has been signed, RT reported.
