Jerry Sandusky’s wife Dottie takes the stand in trial

Dottie Sandusky, the wife of former Jerry Sandusky, took the stand in his defense in her husband's child sex-abuse trial on Tuesday, according to CBS News.

The former Penn State football coach is accused of 51 counts for allegedly abusing 10 boys over 15 years.

The Associated Press reported Dottie Sandusky testified she remembers most of the boys who testified against her husband but said there was no inappropriate contact. She has stood by his side during the trial, both attending court and posting his bail, the AP wrote.

She also said that their basement was not soundproof, contradicting earlier testimony from one accuser who said Sandusky attacked him in the basement and tried to cry for help when Dottie was upstairs.

Jerry Sandusky's attorney suggested Tuesday that state troopers may have "tainted" the investigation and prodded alleged victims to say they engaged in sexual acts with the former coach, ABC News reported.

Judge John Cleland expects closing arguments to take place later this week on Thursday.
