Jenni Rivera’s killer plane company under investigation
As Rivera’s fans pay tribute, police in Mexico’s Nuevo León state investigating the plane crash are still looking for answers.
The owners of the plane that killed superstar Jenni Rivera in a shocking aviation accident earlier this week are being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), according to CNN.

The beloved Mexican-American singer died in a plane crash on Sunday alongside six others when the plane dove 28,000 feet in 30 seconds, said USA Today.
DEA spokeswoman Lisa Webb Johnson told the Associated Press the agency had confiscated planes operated by the Las Vegas-based Starwood Management, but provided no further information.
CNN said two Starwood-owned planes were seized in January and February, adding that insurance companies earlier filed suit against the company for allegedly providing false information.
The owner of the aviation firm is a former convict, 50-year-old Christian Esquino, a person AP described as having "a long and checkered legal past."
The DEA today confirmed Esquino's relationship to Starwood to CNN.
