Goodbye, Pope Benedict XVI: Some of us will miss you

After the pope's resignation was announced Monday morning — not on Twitter, mind you — the faithful sent multilingual thanks and prayers to their beloved @pontifex. But they appeared no match for the deluge of social media snark, puns, and vitriol also sent the pope's way.
Of course, the Twittersphere was also humming with the predictable patter of one-liners about Il Papa's new social media presence proving too much for him to … "handle." C'mon, we had to get one in, too.
