Food as a weapon of war in Sudan

The Sudanese army are dropping thousands of bombs on their own people, kidnapping and killing their own citizens, destroying entire villages and waging what has been described as an ethnically motivated war in which the Arab aggressors are seeking to wipe out the African tribes that live in the Nuba Mountains.
No doubt the vast reserves of oil and minerals that lie underneath the ground there are an added incentive for removing a people who fought against the Khartoum regime, on the side of the SPLA, during the previous civil wars.
