A man dressed as a clown died after he suffered a heart attack while blowing up balloons at the Macy's Day Parade.

Robert Blasetti, 67, and his wife, Irene, also dressed as a clown, were making balloon animals for children on Sixth Ave in Manhattan when the tragedy happened, The New York Post reported.

“All of a sudden he collapsed and fell on his back," witness Tuvia Yamnik said.

"People came to him right away. It didn’t look like he was breathing. People started pumping his chest."

His wife began CPR until ambulance officers took over. He was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead.

The Daily Mail reported a Macy’s spokesman Orlando Veras would not comment on whether Blasetti was an employee.

”We are saddened to report that a marcher in the Macy’s Parade suffered a medical emergency,” he said.
