Police face discipline in deadly Ohio chase
A dozen Cleveland police supervisors are facing internal discipline charges after a chase ended with 13 officers firing 137 shots, killing two unarmed people.
Police Chief Michael McGrath said on Tuesday that a police captain, a lieutenant and 10 sergeants are being disciplined.

McGrath went on to say that all 12 showed a lack of leadership when a 19-mile chase through downtown Cleveland and other neighborhoods in November ended in the driver and his passenger being killed during police gunfire. Both had cocaine in their systems, but neither was armed. They were identified as Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams.
A city review of the occurrence — conducted by a special panel of police and city administrators — was limited to looking at whether the officers followed policies during the chase.
The county prosecutor is conducting a separate grand jury investigation into possible criminal wrongdoing.
