New Jersey father charged after 4-year-old son shot and killed 6-year-old boy

Police have charged a man over the tragic shooting accident in New Jersey last month when a  four-year-old boy shot dead his six-year-old neighbor while playing with his father’s loaded .22-caliber rifle.

Anthony Senatore, 33, was arrested on Monday night and charged with six counts of endangering the welfare of children and one disorderly person charge for allowing a minor access to firearms.

On April 8, Senatore’s four-year-old son, who has not been named, allegedly found the loaded rifle in a bedroom and killed his friend Brandon Holt while they were playing outside.

Police said they found several shotguns inside the Senatore home – all lying around and accessible to his other children, aged 8 and 12.

Senatore was released on $100,000 bail.
