Ibragim Todashev’s father claims FBI shot son ‘execution-style’

The father of a Chechen immigrant that was being questioned by the FBI about his ties to one of the Boston Marathon bombings suspects said authorities killed his son "execution-style."

At a Moscow news conference on Thursday, Abdul-Baki Todashev showed journalists over a dozen photographs of his son 27-year-old Ibragim from a Florida morgue.

His father claims the photos, taken by a friend, show six gunshot wounds to Todashev's back, head and torso. The allegations remain unconfirmed.

“I want justice. I want an investigation,” Todashev said. “They come to your house like bandits, and they shoot you.”

The FBI said Ibragim Todashev was killed last month in his Orlando home after a violent confrontation with law enforcement who were interviewing him about his relationship with Tamerlan Tsarnaev and a previous triple murder in Waltham, Mass. in 2011.

He also said the FBI questioned his son three previous times this year. Todashev was an acquaintance of Tsarnaev's and the two had trained together at the same gym.

It remains unclear exactly what happened.

Initially, three law enforcement officials said Todashev attacked the FBI agent with a knife, although two of the officials later told The Washington Post he was not armed.

A spokesman for the FBI in Boston would not comment on the father’s allegation that his son was "100 percent unarmed."
