Honduran security forces tear-gas the ex-president out of congress

Honduras' former President Manuel Zelaya and his opposition supporters were tear-gassed in congress Tuesday.
Zelaya, who was ousted from power in 2009, criticized Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez for not providing enough peace and security for the country. His supporters and other lawmakers camped out in the congress building in Tegucigalpa over "heavy-handed tactics by the conservative government against the country's opposition."
"We come to demand justice, peace, prosperity and security, which is what was promised to Honduras," Zelaya said, according to Honduras' El Heraldo newspaper.
Zelaya's Libertad y Refundacion party called for more protests Wednesday following the clash in congress.
