The NSA is building a facility in the Utah desert to store the surveillance being collected. It’s a enormous facility – more than 1.5 million square feet – for an enormous amount of data or what experts call ‘big data.’
Big data has been the catchphrase of the week since the story broke about NSA surveillance.
But what exactly is big data and what does this collection of big data mean for the future?
