When Andy Palacio died unexpectedly five years ago many wondered if his band, The Garifuna Collective, would be able to carry on. With the release of their CD “Ayó,” The Garifuna Collective promise to carry on his legacy and continue to play Garifuna music.
Without federal support, local stations, especially in rural and underserved areas, face deep cuts or even closure.
