The Wounded Warrior Project’s designed to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history. The project aims to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, help injured service members aid and assist each other and also provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. The group provides networking opportunities, assistance with benefits issues and peer mentor programs, among other things.

Visiting Nurse Service of New York has 18,950 dedicated employees and 2,445 nurses, with an average of 13 years experience in the field. The institution has 525 rehabilitation therapists (physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists), more than 11,560 home health aides, 525 social workers, 160 other clinical professionals. In 2012, VNSNY cared for 149,400 patients in the New York metro area, made 2,425,490 home visits.

The community is home to more than 600 seniors.
