Secrets behind military patches

The World
The World

(So explain the title of your book). The book is about patches from black projects, unacknowledged projects in the military. The title comes from a patch written in Latin and there’s a cliche in this black world where if you’re asked what you do, you say I could tell you but then I’d have to kill you.’ (How did you get the patches from classified projects?) Mostly from people who worked on these projects. Often people can’t say what they’ve done, but the patches themselves are unclassified so people will share them. (Break down two examples: one is a patch called The Vindicator.) So on that patch, there’s a skunk and he’s holding a video projector or something in one hand, a lightning bolt is coming out of that. The bottom of the patch says The Vindicator. The skunk is related to a factory that works on advanced development plant. The lightning bolt often represents something electronic, electronic warfare. It’s a piece of hardware that shoots a laser out from an aircraft and tests how fast that aircraft is going. What was unique and secret about this is you didn’t have to have a pole or antenna coming out of the aircraft. so the aircraft could be stealthy by using this V-Indicator and that says Vindicator. (Who designs them and who makes them?) Someone in the unit will often make the patch for the unit. (Tell us about Rodeo Gal which is kind of PG-13.) We have here a naked woman riding on top of a killer whale. The whale represents a cruise missile built in the 1980s and it was modeled off an aircraft. the aircraft had the nickname the whale. The killer whale is the cruise missile version of that aircraft. I’ve been told the unit made these patches and said this is politically incorrect with the naked woman. So I’m told they had to take these patches off the instant they were created.
