Floods Devastate Pennsylvania and Maryland

The Takeaway

Tropical Storm Lee continues to cause devastation in the eastern United States. Driving rain has pelted parts of Pennsylvania and Maryland, flooding homes and businesses there. At least three people have died as a result, and 130,000 people have had to leave their homes and flee to safety. Half of those evacuations were in the northeastern  Pennsylvania  town of Wilkes-Barre. Mayor of Wilkes-Barre  Thomas Leighton  talks about the latest from his town.  Mary Wilson, reporter for radio station WITF and Pennsylvania Public Radio in Harrisburg, where a state of emergency has been declared, has the latest from there.
