David Schwimmer played everyone’s favorite paleontologist, Ross Geller, on Friends for, well, a decade. He also co-starred in HBO’s war series Band of Brothers and in movies including The Pall Bearer and Madagascar ? at least his voice was in that last one. He’s appeared on stage in New York and London and co-founded Chicago’s Lookingglass Theater Company. And for years, he’s been directing plays and TV shows ? including episodes of Friends and Joey. And now he’s making his debut as a feature film director with Run Fatboy Run, starring Simon Pegg. Faith Salie speaks with David Schwimmer on Fair Game.

Do you support journalism that strengthens our democracy?

At The World, we believe strongly that human-centered journalism is at the heart of an informed public and a strong democracy. We see democracy and journalism as two sides of the same coin. If you care about one, it is imperative to care about the other.

Every day, our nonprofit newsroom seeks to inform and empower listeners and hold the powerful accountable. Neither would be possible without the support of listeners like you. If you believe in our work, will you give today? We need your help now more than ever!
