Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda are set to sign a peace deal brokered by the Trump administration in Washington today. Insurgent group M23 currently occupies areas of eastern DRC. Critics of today’s peace deal note that the insurgents — who Rwanda is accused of backing — say that they aren’t beholden to the agreement.
