As a teenager in 2021, Kate Koval left her hometown of Kyiv, Ukraine, to play basketball in the US. Now a freshman at Notre Dame, Koval is excited and ready for Friday’s tip-off, which will mark the start of her first-ever NCAA March Madness tournament. The World’s Bianca Hillier has her story.
