Bullfighting in Costa Rica is more like bull ‘dodging’

Unlike the Spanish form, Costa Rican bullfighting does not aim to kill the bull, but only to dodge it. In this way, it resembles Pamplona’s Running of the Bulls more than a classic corrida. Instead of happening on the streets with hundreds of a bulls at a time, however, there are only one or two bulls in the ring. Jamie Fullerton takes us to this Costa Rican Christmas tradition.
