Host Marco Werman tells the story of the Ashanti king, King Prempeh I, whose exile in the Seychelles Islands and heroic return to Africa’s Gold Coast demonstrated the resilience — and ultimately, the independence — of the Ashante people who founded the nation of Ghana.
