Ranchers in Brazil working with major international beef suppliers have typically used arson and chain saws to clear land for cattle grazing. Now, some seem to be turning to chemical defoliants. Glenn Hurowitz, who heads the environmental advocacy group Mighty Earth, tells The World’s Host Marco Werman about a billion-dollar lawsuit against a Brazilian rancher who allegedly used herbicides to illegally clear Amazon forests.
