Namibia culls wildlife for drought relief efforts

Like other countries in southern Africa, Namibia is experiencing one of the worst droughts in recent memory. More than a million people are at risk of experiencing acute hunger and farmers and herders are being pushed further and further away in search of water. In response, Namibia’s government has chosen a controversial strategy: culling hundreds of wildlife including elephants and hippos. The World’s Africa correspondent Halima Gikandi reports.
