Finland proposes banning Russians from buying property

The Finnish government is proposing a ban that would prevent most Russian citizens from buying property in the Nordic country. Finland’s defense minister said it’s an issue of national security. Relations between Helsinki and Moscow have been fraught since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, which prompted Helsinki to join the NATO military alliance after decades of non-alignment.
