A new kind of honeybee discovered in Europe

The red dwarf honeybee, known to aggressively defend patches of flowers against other insects, has been found in Malta. This is the first time it’s been detected in Europe. Host Carol Hills finds out how researchers are approaching this development with Dave Goulson, a professor at the University of Sussex and the author of multiple books about bees.
