In a surprise announcement on Wednesday, Japan’s Prime Minister Kishida says he’s stepping down from office. Kishida’s approval rates have dropped, and he’s faced intense criticism for rising cost of living in Japan as well as some political scandals. The World’s Marco Werman has the details.
