British government seeks to fix troubled railways by nationalizing them

Britain likes to call itself the birthplace of the modern railway, but for commuters in the UK, train travel is plagued by inconvenience and frustration. Old trains, crumbling infrastructure and plain, old bad weather cause regular delays and cancellations. The new Labour government believes it may have the answer.
