Haiti transition council selects new prime minister

A step forward toward stability today in Haiti as a new prime minister takes over an office that’s been effectively vacant for two months. Today, former Sports Minister Fritz Belizaire stepped into the role, as Haitians deal with spiraling violence from gangs that have overtaken most of the capital, Port-au-Prince.
