Satellite data shows China’s cities are sinking

Analysis of new satellite data shows that China’s cities are sinking at a rapid rate. Causes include depletion of ground water and the sheer weight of buildings. If this continues, much of the land will sink lower than sea level. That could lead to future disasters with rising sea levels because of climate change.
