The relentless Israeli strikes across Gaza have forced millions of Palestinians to keep fleeing to find safe shelter. It’s almost impossible for journalists to go into Gaza safely and verify information. Host Marco Werman in Jerusalem called Noor Swirki, a resident of Gaza, who’s now in Rafah, to find out how life has changed for her and her family over the last six months.
At The World, we believe strongly that human-centered journalism is at the heart of an informed public and a strong democracy. We see democracy and journalism as two sides of the same coin. If you care about one, it is imperative to care about the other.
