Comedian Samantha Kureya was taken from her home on Wednesday night by masked men, driven to an unknown place, beaten and forced to drink sewage before being abandoned. She’s now recovering in a Harare hospital. Kureya appears on TV in Zimbabwe as a character named Gonyeti. The satirical videos occasionally poke fun at the country’s government.
