Wrongly deported

The World

Host Marco Werman speaks with reporter Tiziana Rinaldi about the process that allows immigrants to appeal a government deportation order. The process is long and difficult, which can mean that when someone appeals their deportation, they may already have been deported. Rinaldi followed the case of a man who fled Guatemala in fear for his life, only to be sent back by the US government. The man won his appeal, but then faced an uphill struggle to convince the US to let him return.
