The International Ski Federation has announced that as of the 2022-23 season, men and women World Cup cross-country ski competitors will race the same distances. The pressure to equalize race distances came mostly from retired cross-country ski racers, not those currently competing. Marco Werman speaks with the person who organized the sport pressure for the change: Molly Peters: a former racer and current Nordic ski coach at St. Michael’s College.
