Why are more Venezuelans attempting the Darién Gap?

There’s a skyrocketing number of people attempting to cross the Darién Gap, the challenging terrain of mountainous and dense jungle connecting South and Central America. Many are Venezuelans fleeing economic and political turmoil at home. To better understand what’s motivating these departures, Carol Hills spoke with Colombia-based reporter Manuela Rueda.
