WHO says China’s COVID data can’t be trusted

World Health Organization officials say they do not trust the COVID-19 data coming out of China right now. The rampant spread of COVID-19 in the most populous country on Earth has some worried that new variants could form and spread to the rest of the world. However, Chris J.L. Murray, director of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation in Seattle, tells The World’s Carol Hills that a new variant is not likely to be forming in China. However, he says, better reporting is needed to prevent new deadly outbreaks.
