A much-anticipated report was released on Tuesday outlining findings on the origins of the coronavirus outbreak. The report is from a joint international team of scientists that were part of a World Health Organization mission to China. Scientists can’t say for certain how the coronavirus outbreak began but they did reach a preliminary possibility: The outbreak likely stemmed from an animal like a bat, then spread to other animals, then to humans. Host Carol Hills speaks with Marion Koopmans, a Dutch virologist who was part of the WHO’s team of scientists that went to China.
