WHO director-general remains defiant despite Trump threats

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus closed the WHO’s two-day annual assembly vowing to continue to lead the fight against the pandemic “which threatens to tear at the fabric of international cooperation.” The second and last day of the assembly was overshadowed by President Donald Trump’s tweet threatening that the US would halt WHO funding permanently. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Suerie Moon, co-director of the Global Health Center at Geneva’s Graduate Institute, about what did and didn’t happen at the WHO meeting.
