The Biden administration is expanding its use of a pandemic-era border measure known as Title 42 to begin rapidly expelling migrants from Cuba, Haiti and Nicaragua. A similar order applied last month to Venezuelan migrants significantly reduced their numbers at the US border. The new policies also offer legal entry into the US under humanitarian parole but only for a limited number of migrants. The World’s Carol Hills speaks with Julia Gelatt, of the Migration Policy Institute, about the moves by the White House.
