What do we now know about the hack against the US government?

The World

Last month, a private cybersecurity company, FireEye, detected a hack. Some of the US government’s most important agencies and departments were breached, including the Defense, Justice and State departments. In the weeks since then, cybersecurity experts and the US government have learned just how big the hack was. More than 250 federal agencies and businesses were affected. Most experts are pointing the finger at Russia for being behind the hack. Host Carol Hills speaks with Austin Berglas. Berglas is a cybersecurity with BlueVoyant and a former FBI agent, where he was in charge of the FBI’s New York Office Cyber Branch.
