In a secret operation over the weekend, US military guards moved Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and other CIA prisoners from the once-secret Camp 7 to the main part of the prison compound at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp. It was a Trump administration decision to save costs but it renewed focus on President Biden’s intention to shut down the detention camp. Barack Obama tried but failed.
