China has reopened a number of wet markets across the country, including the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, where the first novel coronavirus cases arose. Despite international criticism, wet markets remain a key part of peoples’ diets in China. Host Marco Werman speaks with Ning Dai of the University of Waterloo in Canada about the risks and cultural context of wet markets.
