Water shortages impact Iraq anbar rice production

A United Nation’s report out today — on what is World Water Day— sets out a bleak picture when it comes to our most important natural resource: water. Billions do not have access to water for drinking or sanitation. Agriculture accounts for around 70% of global water use, which is unsustainable. Last November, The World’s Sara Hassan visited a farm in Iraq hit by water shortages in the country.
