Water shortage in Iran sparks protests

A prolonged drought in Iran has sparked protests in the country. For the past week, crowds in the southwestern Khuzestan province have been met with a violent response from security forces. Kaveh Madani, the former deputy head of Iran’s Department of Environment tells host Marco Werman that the water shortages are due to years of mismanagement and poor planning.
