An Israeli offensive on Gaza overnight killed at least 28 people, including children, as rocket attacks from the enclave also killed two Israelis. This follows violence and tensions between the Israeli police and Palestinians at Al-Aqsa mosque and in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem — where Palestinian residents are facing possible eviction.
