The Special Tribunal for Lebanon delivered its verdict in the trial over the 2005 bombing that killed former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. The UN-backed court located outside The Hague gave its verdict in the trial of four men who were accused in the deaths of Hariri and 21 others. The four defendants, who were not in custody and are being tried in absentia, are linked to Hezbollah. The tribunal found Salim Ayyash guilty of five charges and acquitted three others.
