Velma Demerson died last month at the age of 98. She gained attention when she was arrested in Toronto in 1939 for having a relationship with a Chinese man. Filmmaker Karin Lee spent hours interviewing Demerson at the end of her life for a documentary called “Incorrigible.” He shares his story with The World.
