US government target of monthslong cyberattack 

US government agencies have been ordered to search their networks after authorities learned that the Treasury and Commerce departments were hacked. According to federal and private experts, the hackers acted on behalf of a Russian intelligence agency, in what is considered one of the most sophisticated and perhaps largest attacks on federal systems in the past five years.
