US considers adding emperor penguins to endangered species list over climate change

Climate change is threatening the future of emperor penguins. A new study says if warming continues at its current rate, more than 80% of the Antarctic colonies will be gone in the next 80 years. In response, federal wildlife officials in the US are proposing to put the animals under the Endangered Species Act. Research scientist Phil Trathan, with the British Antarctic Survey, speaks to The World’s host Marco Werman about the uncertain future for emperor penguins.
