US and German leaders seek consensus on Ukraine

President Joe Biden and Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz met on Monday at the White House amid the crisis over Ukraine. Germany and the US are seeking to establish a united front despite small differences over the future of the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Constanze Stelzenmüller, a senior fellow with the Brookings Institution in Washington, about German-US relations and the future of the pipeline.
