Unprecedented number of priests, bishops offer clear condemnation of Vatican’s anti-LGBTQ decree

The Vatican released a statement last week that has caused a massive discussion within the Catholic Church. In the statement, signed off by Pope Francis, the Vatican says priests cannot bless same-sex unions because God “cannot bless sin.” It’s an affirmation of old church teachings, but it’s prompted some nontraditional reactions from around the world.
